Rush Theta  Tau...

...thinking about joining Theta Tau?

There's no reason to hesitate! Here are the top five reasons you should join us:
  1. Develop bonds with our brothers that are rarely found anywhere else on campus.
  2. Be in the company of brothers who can help you with homework or just hang out.
  3. As with any fraternity, enjoy the benefits of our social functions.
  4. Live in our fraternity house, which has better accommodations than the dorms at a lower price!
  5. Remember that our dues are among the lowest of the fraternities here at UW.

Joining Theta Tau...

...is challenging, yet rewarding. The process begins with Rushing. All aspiring members must attend three rush events. Check back soon for a listing of rush events, or contact our Rush Chair to express your interest.

From our rush candidates, fraternity members select a handful of prospecting students who are able to demonstrate to us their interest and ability to live our core values of Honest, Ethical, Dependable, Trustworthy, and Respectful. The fraternity will send our bids to our top candidates.

Those that are chosen will be offered bids. Upon accepting a bid, you pledge your membership to the fraternity, or become a "pledge." All pledges are matched up with a "Big Brother" that will watch and support you. For the rest of the semester, pledges are evaluated by the fraternity.

Theta Tau promotes certain pledge activities that we feel will help you to understand more about the fraternity members and our history. Theta Tau does not support hazing of any kind, and pledges will not be subjected to any humiliation or indignation.

After your pledging is complete, you may choose to join us as a member of Theta Tau. We look forward to seeing our pledges crossing into membership and joining our brotherhood.

Check back soon for a listing of our upcoming Rush Events. For now, contact our Rush Chair.
